Journey by Stephen Clark
    to Ridgetown

You leave the TAFE college and you're still hungry but you have no money to buy any food. In desperation you start begging on the streets -- you ask them "Can you spare any change?" "All I need is a few shillings for some food?" But no one gives you anything. That night you sleep in a bus shelter.
The following day you wander into the Ridgetown forest and you find some mushrooms and berries to eat. They taste quite good and they stop the pangs of hunger. But they turn out to be poisonous.
